Cadillac is working on a more full size replacement

I was thinking that the only full luxury Cadillac made anymore was the Escalade? No matter all I was trying to say before is that most of Cadillacs competition can be put into the luxury touring class.

Think Porsche Panamera style, luxury, and performance to top it all off. Cadillac had to put performance into their cars just to keep up with competitors. I just don't think there is a market for a full on pure luxury car anymore. They all have tons of power and handling packages now.

I think the ctsv and other cts models are pretty stylish for a new car. I just don't think they really look like Cadillacs anymore.

CTS was a sports sedan that had a caddy label the others are just trucks with a caddy label. they got away from what a caddy was. GM has all that was considered cool stuff on a caddy in the 80s - 90s on there base car today. then they downsized it again. so instead of a large looking car you got this funny looking thing that appeared like a match box car that got run over in the driveway. every time GM gets something together that works good the collage educated engineering department takes it away and shoves some experiment down your throat. I think they lost the last luxury car that worked and was affordable for the average man when they dropped the Park Avenue. leaving there over priced DTS as there top car. no wounder anyone that wanted a roomy rig went to a truck it's all they have. poorer gas mileage rougher ride but if you want room you get one. beats the soccer Mom van. Ford or Chrysler left you no alternatives. so it was a truck or a over seas car. winning back the money is no object people will be hard. once they stop looking your way it will take something to get there attention again.

Cadillac (Escalade)..... STILL seems to be the king of cars in the Oakland/East Bay area.....at least with the gangbangers, pimps and drug dealers.....
I went to a recent police/sheriff aucton of siezed/impounded cars/items..and there were no less then 26 Caddies most equipt with "Boom" stereos and tv's with Playstations.....some even had police scanners and GPS.....a couple even had 24k emblems and wheels.....Mmmmmmm nice

Great post and observation James ! Said exactly as it is here in Toronto too.

Cadillac has appealed to the low life and gotten away from the higher class people it once appealed too.

I still can't understand the whole SUV side of automobiles.

Again... just my opinion. It may vary from yours, but this is mine on this subject. No offense meant to any Cadillac fans or owners of any Cadillac made in the last 25 years.
