Jack is under going surgery right now for a mass on his kidney. The word is a large one. Made the decision for the local vet to attempt to remove it leaving him with the one. He is about 11 now and in decent condition. They all ready have him opened up. So if he is going out better for him to have died trying to save him rather the just finish him off. He didnt give me any hint other then being off the feed bag the last month till this noon when he tossed up the cat food he snuck from the cat. Then went guarding his belly and full of the nervous nellies. So I'll keep you in formed. When we know more.

Hope for the best.

will he made it through the surgery we will know tomorrow when he can come home. doc said it was a vary large mass that might explain why he did not want anyone to pick him up. so that is good news. now we see if he recovers and the remaining kidney is able to carry on. he sure did not give any indication he did not feel will till today

Took the call this morning that sometime late last night Jack took the trip over the Rainbow bridge. So we'll take the 72 CB out to pick him up and put him with his brother Mookie. Makes 3 dogs and 2 cats here in the 33 years i have been in this location. We had a good last trip togather.

Sorry for your loss Ed, He was fun to be around. I enjoyed seeing him on your trips to Indiana. Its hard to think about Ed and not about Jack!

It was good to see Jack at the meet in Albany, and I am glad that you brought him with you. I know how much you loved that little dog, and both Sandy and I are saddened by his passing. He lived a good life with you and you always did the best for him. Our deepest condolences on your loss.

Ed, sorry to hear about Jack. Whenever I looked at pictures on this site of cars that you were working on, Jack generally appeared somewhere in the photo. It shows that he loved you as much as you loved him. Treasure the memories, as I'm sure there are lots of them! The most difficult part of dog or cat ownership is having to say goodbye.

So sorry to hear about Jack. Pets become so much of the "family" it's hard to let them go. Nature took it's course and that's the way it's meant to be. His memeory will help ease the pain. I too enjoyed seeing him in the many photos you shared with us.

Condolences from our family to you Ed. Jack was such a happy guy at the meet and never left you out of his sight. You could tell that dog loved you to death. Rest in peace Jack, you will be missed.
