Back from Motor Muster, Dearborn MI

Tom Hoczyk

PCS Past President
I just returned from exhibiting my flower car at Motor Muster, Greenfield Village, Dearborn Michigan. It's a spectacular show that I have attended since finishing the restoration of my '54 Eureka hearse about 12 years ago. Also exhibiting was my friend Mike Granzeier with his '69 Superior Combination. It was hot and muggy but still a wonderful relaxing time in a spectacular, historical location. On the drive up, I was able to have lunch on Friday at Tony Packo's, in Toledo, famous as having been mentioned often in the TV show M*A*S*H.

flower cars

one fine caddy sir. never used flower cars down here in texas but they are absolutely gorgeuos. will have one. funerals here are usually far from the cenetery and the police escorts move you fast. flowers would be gone by the time ya get there so no use here. that doesnt mean there arent any here but the 2 i know about are garage queens and they wont sell or even talk about them but ive got a shot at one i think. hes called me back twice but he is wanting barret jackson money for a car thats all original but hasent been really driven in years. he tried charging the 6 volt battery with a 12 volt charger and now its got issues. well see.. fine ride though... please dont ask what funeral home as i will get amnesia real quick......

Tom, thanks for posting the pictures! Both cars are gorgeous too! Your Eureka flower car brings my memories back to some Meets of the past, when Georgia Parsons and her friend would bring the 1965 Superior Cadillac lowtop ambulance and RF Parsons would bring the Eureka. How cool was that? I love that 1969 Superior, I wish it was in my garage!

About 100 miles west

Thank you for sharing Tom. Those are beautiful cars. While you were in Dearborn we were about a hundred miles west of you at Charlton Park near Hastings for the 31st annual fathers day car show. This is a late photo as many cars had already left. I didn't hear the official count but there is usually around a thousand cars in attendance.

Nice picture Rich, thanks for sharing it. I had a twin to the 1955 Pontiac Starchief two door hard top that is in the background, it was the same color and all!
