Are there any Chrysler Briareans in the PCS?

I'm thinking 5 grand is a low number....

I'm with you Richard. A quality job in some cases can be multiples of five grand. But, there are guys willing to work for less and sometimes they do some beautiful work, too. Unfortunately, I don't know anybody like that who could do my Chrysler Executive limo for me. Maybe I should ask Mr Steinberg?

I was referring to paint, not doing any body work and / or rust repair. This is why I have always advocated buying the best car that you can find, rather than save on the purchase price only to give the difference to the mechanic or body man to fix the problems that you didn't think amounted to much.

As I said above, if there are body issues that need to be resolved first, then it is going to be more expensive. The $5000 figure was for paint materials and labor only, and not fixing rust, dents, chrome, etc.. I have seen some cars where $5000 wouldn't even begin to pay for the rust repair that is going to be needed. One car in particular that I know of looks great at 20 feet, but when you get up close, you can see how many rust problems that needs to be repaired, and previous repairs that may be hiding other problems. That car would wouldn't be the type of car that I would ever consider, unless it were a one of a kind, and I was prepared to go into the restoration process with very deep pockets.
