This has been a great week for things coming "out of the woodwork." Rick, this has been a long time coming. I hope you enjoy it. This is a then-new 1969 Miller-Meteor Ambulance in front of the main entrance to the Groves and Co. Memorial Chapel at 605 Garland Street, Flint, Michigan. Note the lettering on the roof!

Neat photo

That's an interesting rig...looks like a butterscotch color, is devoid of any moldings on the upper roof sides (can't say I really care for the side lights), and has the window decals in the quarter and rear side door windows.

Any interior photos of it?

Yet another example of a fine Miller-Meteor!

Are those Solar Rays in the front tunnels?

Those side roof warning lights are AWFUL.

No butterscotch about it. This old polaroid is a bit discolored but better than what we had before. Yes those are solar-rays and those side roof lights were VERY POPULAR in Michigan as you can see from the photos I have posted lately. Dennis Distributor (Local M-M Dealer) sold them on just about every car he delivered. They look better in person than in the photo and they were very effective when parked along the roadside.
 
Oh, and Tony...

No interior photos but the interior was a beige or buckskin color vinyl - it always looked dirty. I ran a lot of calls in that old beast.
 
OK a little more to work with on this one. how is this. not quite the corvette chrome yellow but it's not orange either.

This is unbelievable Brady, WOW!!!!! Can't find a picture of this rig for decades then two show up in the same week. My head hurts!!!!! I need to buy a look alike M-M and recreate this thing.

Thanks Mr. Smith, it is greatly appreciated and Terri and I just may have to bring you some Mackinac Island fudge.

I bought a very nice '76 Lifeliner from them in 1983; for you old-timers, it's the one I had at the Indianapolis PCS meet that year. I dealt with Bob Panzenhagen(sp?), and another guy named Mark...what was his last name?

Mark Hopkins was the salesman. Bob Panzenhagen owned the place by then. He was Dennis Penhaligons brother-in-law. He still stops by my place occasionally. He just turned 80.

Richard, unless another PNW Chapter member has bought it, I know where there is a 1969 Cadillac M-M 48" mbulance for sale for a really low price
