Another chopped up sad Pro-Car

Why is it that some get their panties in a wad when someone outside the PCS modifies a car, but don't get upset when a combination car is made into an ambulance, or a hearse into a service car by a PCS Member. In both of these instances, these modifications might be reversible, but not any easier than reversing the modifications of the car pictured. At what point does a car loose its historical significance and is no longer eligible for display at a PCS Meet?

Some online friends had a lot of fun when I was deciding what wheels to go with on Miamitown. They made suggestions by sharing these images. Wish I had this kind of talent with a computer! I've never bagged a car & never intend to, but these guys had fun and the 2 images below were my favorites because they totally changed the WHOLE look of the ambulance, one is bagged with big rims... the other is chopped, tinted, and bagged.

Ok I would love to know how people can do stuff like that on there pc. That would be cool to learn how to do.

That does indeed bother me, just as much as street-rodding a coach. But again, it's "their" car, there's little we can do about it. Hopefully, the car in question will be bought by someone who can reverse the modifications.

I don't know, I don't think that is defined anywhere. As long as it's not ghoulish or a Caddy-camper, it may be good to go. There'd be no way to create a written definition that would cover everything. We'd need to have a judge (person or committee) to make a decision, and that might inflame and offend and, OH MY...... I've tried that a couple times, with things that were not original - but "could have been", even though we know they weren't - to no avail.

I believe that we need to convene a panel of at least 20 judges to determine if a car has the proper suction cups or not... :smiley_w_ballbat: Then we can move onto the question "Is a Pinner a Pinner?".... :drama: At that point, I believe that we will have a certain Ohio member ready for the rubber room... :whip:

I kinda like the lincoln, I want do drop mine a little bit and put lakes pipes on it, and her name is " Ligeia" (Edgar Allan Poe) " of fair skin and raven hair"-
white body/black crown. it fits

Rick, its really no different. I'm sure there are some people that think customizing a truck is wrong too. And your right, at least it is a 80s coach. But here are a couple more, a AHA Lincoln, Superior Cadillac, and 49 Chevy hearse, not sure the coach builder. Also a pic of my 86 bagged and boddy dropped Ranger that also had a V8 in it, and yes it had a aluminum radiator and eletric fan. And a pic of my 34 Ford street rod pick up I had. I'm sure there are just as many people out there who don't like to see a 34 Ford customised as much as we don't like to see a Pro-Car customised. The good thing is on my 34, the only thing original they started with was the cab and doors. the bed, fenders and frame and grille were all after marcket.

and whats wrong with an 80's Coach ??

Nothing at all, its just that 80's model coaches are still new enough that there are still plenty of them around, unlike say 1950's coaches, where there are not near as many of them left as a 1980's coach. Give it a few more years, and there won't be many 1980's coaches left either.

By the way, I've owned a 80's coach, and it was one of the best cars I've ever owned.

One more just for the fun of it.

If this pic is from Indy this Federal (92 if I'm correct) used to belong to Jeff Bell at one time. I drove it across the street from his funeral home to the park with a load of folding chars and tables once during one of his first block parties!

Well...I enjoy the computer tom foolery. Wish I had the talents. Thanx for sharing with those open minded to enjoy. I don't condone what was done to the AHA Lincoln. Almost blasfemy.
Having had several 80's coaches, they are generally not popular here. Tried to sell one here? Forgetaboutit! If you get an offer, its a low ball one. Perhaps time will change all that as more get cut up, they will get rarer. Maybe my 85 Eureka limo style will be worth some good money. Too me, it already is, despite its 4.1 engine!!
80's coaches were generally one flavor, straight hearse. No ambulances, no three ways (after 84) and no combos. If some one came to a show with a cut up three way, and I saw it, think there'd be a lynchin.
