And the joke is on me...Zelley Ambulance

Who ever did it, opairently knows enough about the car to make it sound real, and either knows a little about, or lives in Michigan. I agree with Kim, I would say its probly someone that knows Richard. Even though in a very small way it is kind of funny, its still just wrong to get someones hopes up like that.

It is funny yet a bit mean. When one gets so excited thinking they had located something like this that meant so much to them it is a big let down to find out it is not for real. Heck, it's taken Brady over 30 years just to locate a picture of this ambulance. I personally talked with Joe Zelley a couple years ago hoping he might have a picture but no luck. You're right, this person has to know me, know this ambulance, know how excited I would get, and must be a PCS member. I'm sure we'll never know who so to the one who pulled a really huge prank on me, Good for you! :yankchain:

That would be something if it were the real deal and then turn away assuming it was a joke, and don't get me wrong it probably is a joke but................???????????????????:myopinion: If I ever had the chance to find one of the old 73 Regency combos I worked out of well.......I know how you feel Richard.

Hey Ron, I've got a sweet looking 72 Ninety-Eight Regency in the garage.... oops that belongs to Ed!:hide:

Well it wasn't me, I couldn't figure out how to put anything on CL. My computer skills are lousy, Jen has to post all my pics for me.

Lets not forget....

First off, for the record, I think the world of Richard. His enthusiasm is phenominal and contagious. But before people get bent out shape over this, remember a few years ago when Richard was a newbie on the site and we were all yanking his chain about his ultra rare hybrid PontiBuick? No one got upset then and said how mean it was to string him along thinking he had a one of a kind funeral coach. When its all said and done, Im sure Richard will find out it was his closest friends and Ed is correct: Payback is a b^$#%

I just hope that no one gives him the truth about wheel chocks... This is one joke that keeps going and is contageous... It now includes Jeremy Ledford..

I was excited and dissappointed it was not for real. I am not upset and know someone or someone's, put a lot of effort into this scheme. I never check craigslist so this person knew someone would contact me when it was discovered.
I'm still confused on the wheel chocks and while in Albany made sure mine were properly marked so not to lose points. I happen to be at the
2-story Wal*Mart and there were two chocks for the left rear side and snatched them up.

PS: I have my suspicions though! :4_11_9:

:stop: Are the two wheel chocks that you purchased at Walmart for the front of the left rear wheel or the rear of the left front wheel?

I didn't do it ether!:halo: Wished I coulda thought it up although!:D I've pulled off some pretty good ones in the past I'm totally innocent on this one! But you do have to admit it was pretty funny but very low down too!!!:yum:

Strictly back chock on the left rear wheel and front of the ride front wheel. The scheme was great and just glad folks are thinking of me. There is still one little item that stands out that only, and I mean ONLY, those associated with that ambulance in it's day would know. In the picture the "Q" is on the roof but the ad says the siren is on front fender. Only a couple people in the PCS would know that. I was a driver of this ambulance when a certain unnamed person relocated that "Q".
Come on, time to come clean..... I'm hot on your trail!

It still sounds like a Cleveland Brown joke to me. Frank

Oh no! I would never play a low down dirty trick that bad. It is the Steelers that are known for dirty tricks and cheating. Perhaps Richard needs to look in the keystone state.
