Checked things out and figured out what we have left of this one. Missing one of the shades for the quarter glass. But one of them is out. All the door cards are here; they are maroon, and they include both front armrests, the windshield wiper switch, and the box. We have the outside mirrors, left is remote with the proper shims. All the outside trim is in place, four good doors, and hardware for five. Two very good skirts. Dash is intact, the switch panel is complete, mine has only one knob, and the one-quarter glass is broken. Got the sliding window assembly. And the one roll-up door cabinet. The front fenders have lower rust on them. The right center door is bad. The rest of the sheet metal is good. No lights or sirens. The over-the-cot light is there. I pulled the smog pump off when I did Paul's 69. It's still lying on my bench. Other than that, the engine is completely run when parked. Now what to do with it. Might need to rethink the year. Found a 72 owners manual in it.

Dug all the papers out of the glove box. It turns out to be a 72, just as I thought, but I talked my way out of that line of thinking. I'd been new to a rescue squad in North Brunswick, NJ, in May 1972. It was red and white then. Then the township of Torrington, Wy. acquired it. Most likely painted orange and white at this time. It ended up in Rapid City around 2000. I remember looking at it then; they wanted $500.00 for it. But I already had a 72 high top and no place to park it. The man who owned the Bath House in Hot Springs bought it and had plans for it, so they gutted it. Started the repair on the one rusty door. There is a receipt for an engine tune-up from Albert's Auto for $450 in 2002. The same man is swapping engines in the 72 CB for me. business when he was in business and could complete engagements. I have made arrangements to take it back out there and store it. Anyone need anything, PM me. I need the rocker moldings, windshield, and power train for this 1974 I have.
