59 Eureka GB - It's back

I cringe every time I see this particular car. Bill (I think his name is) Grams of Volo Auto Museum purchased this beautiful '59 Eureka combination and, for years, purported it to be THE Ghostbusters car. I remember running into Grams at this year's Auburn Spring Auto Auction and, in feighned amazement exclaimed to him, "You have the Ghostbusters car!!!" He said "yes we do". I specifically asked "It's the one from the movie, right???" He said "yes". It was all I could do to keep from calling him out on it, but I didn't. I just walked away.

not being over familiar with the factory look. has the interior in this one been redone. I don't recall the tufted and buttoned style with pile knap carpet being a Eureka option. but really from the pictures if the car is mechanically sound. sell off the GB stuff to those fans and a repaint would give you a high priced 59 Eureka

Tom by not calling him out you continue to show the class you possess, the reason we respect you so.:applause:

I guess that means I have no class, because I called him out on it. I posted in another thread about it so not going to tell the whole story again, but I was not very happy after driving over 5 hours just to see this car and it not even being right. I could not even get him to refund my money. That guy is a scammer and needs to be shut down.

John I am truly sorry if you were offended by my post to Tom's post, you do have class and that is why I read all your posts with the greatest of interest and yes you did have reason to call him out and hopefully someday he will be shut down ,

No worries, absolutely no offense taken.

It's been a long time since I've seen that car in combination-condition, but as I remember it, yes, at least some parts of the interior are not original from Eureka. Draperies for sure.

Eureka Ecto coach

At least the new seller tells in his ad that you are getting a Eureka replica and not a M-M or the Ecto coach.
I wrote a letter to the Volo and called them on this replica when I saw it in a magazine. They never answered my letter. I asked if they would please send me a response. No email, no letter, no phone call, not any kind of a response.

It was posted at 85,000.00 with zero bids last time.

I guess with zero demand, it is now worth 14,000.00 more !

Take the junk off the top and post it at 55,000.00 for a possible sale.

it was blue

When I owned the vehicle, the interior was blue. I believe the funeral home I sold it to had the interior re=done in burgundy..........

I'm sorry I let it go.............Nedra is REALLY SORRY.:Exclamation:

it's happened to us all I tried to save one of them and was unable also. but at least in this add it stated it not the real thing. better then when it was displayed.
