1996 S&S Cadillac Medalist Hearse

A contemporary collectable at a reasonable price. And, it's fitted with an extension table as well as being a complete, straight vehicle. Looks as if it's ready for the show field in Gettysburg.

Nice... except for the considerable amount of rust in the doors and around the windshield the guy mentioned and showed in the photos.

It would cost more to fix it than to buy it.

If it was closer it would be the perfect donor car to change the 96 flower car to a black interior.

look to like you can catch the problems in time to to save this one if it goes right a little clean up in the doors and possibly a new top. can't till from the pictures is it has shrunk up to much to glue back down or not. then of course you will have the normal mechanical issues on a car this age. but they are selling it the price is right

The rust issues are bad the doors will come along for a fair price down the road you have to wait or ask for help. I the mean time cleaning up the bottoms and rustolium will arrest the issue for the moment.I had the same windshield problem with a 94 Superior my top/upholstry guy in Phila. Delt with it by cleaning out the rust and placing a rubber cemented in band across the top over the windshield. "It will never leak again" he said and replacing the top will be years down the road. So there is a cure. BTW the Superior is in service with its buyer to this day.

Oops! I never noticed the rust issues with the rear side doors. But, as Ed says, they've priced it right and it does appear to have potential as a collector piece.

That price would pretty much be the going rate for am '93-'96 coach in that condition from the coach distributors that I know. Far too rusty to go back into service, so a plumber/electrician rig as far as they are concerned.

You're right Kurt but, we've all seen cars with much more serious tin-worm infections resurrected and made into spectacular show-pieces. These '93-'96 S&S (and Superior) funeral cars are becoming collectable and the extension table makes this an even more interesting offering.

My point exactly. Its an S&S it has the table, its black inside NOT blue, all lower moldings look good in the pictures, the dash top is good, rear bumper looks good. Now price if one adds the sum of the above parts you have more than the $1800.00. The roof above the windshield (this looks like it going to be a common problem with Accubuilt cars) my top replacement guy repaired a Superior for me with a band about 3 inches wide across the top looks good and he said "It will never leak again" cost $300.00. This is one of 333 made according to TPC article But how many with the table? Lots of doors fit front from a Caprice cop car so front doors cheap rear doors from many Accubuilt coaches. Carl Worner?? So to me this is worth a save to someone in PCS

Usually, the front doors are fine. The rear side doors were what rusted out. Those rear side doors are really bad on this one, which would make me question frame, etc. May be otherwise fine.

I have never had any real frame rust issues with Caprices the wagon seem to get rust in the frame behind the rear wheels had to junk a Roadmaster wagon from New England due to this and a Caprice from upstate Pa.. Carl Worner had a beautiful low miles six door from Pa a year or so ago and the front frame near to cowl was BAD. So frame could be an issue I doubt it however as seller said they "safety checked it" and the seller seems to enjoy a good rep. Oh yeah its up to $1900.00 now.

If you are looking for a parts coach for an interior swap, I may be able to find you one for less money in Kansas City. I will check the inventory the next time I am down there.
