1978 M-M Landau Traditional

This North Carolina end-loading Miller-Meteor coach started out with Sterling Blue body with a black crinkled top. It was later painted silver with a silver crinkled top. 37,650 miles (I have records to verify). The interior is a blue velour with black appointments and carpeting while the casket compartment is finished out with illuminated side panels and a Formica floor. Seats have no tears and no worn areas. Dash has no cracks. The engine is a 425 V-8 4-bbl coupled to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Power steering, brakes, and windows. No radio (radios were an option then), Climate control A/C and Heat. Lights, wipers, and gauges all work. Nothing smokes, ticks, clatters, or leaks. This hearse was built when the Cadillac Motor Company shipped a commercial chassis to a hearse manufacturer (Superior, Miller-Meteor, or S&S) where a hearse body, ambulance body, flower car body, or limousine body was fitted on the chassis using commercial-sized glass. (Not like now.) :) Glass is intact, no cracks, dings, or splits seen. Tires are very good, too.
  • Includes inspections, registrations, and M-M Build sheet.

Deficiencies? Little nicks in paint, crinkled top could use paint, choke sticks at times (high idle), interior door courtesy lamps not working, and Side M-M emblems are missing (just in front of landau bars), plastic trim on steering wheel is cracked (see pics).

Items repaired or replaced since I have owned it (about a year) includes: New brake lines, new alternator, A/C service, new battery, new fuse box.

Nice coach, but sold As-Is.

How it drives? Very well! Visit here:
