1959 Cadillac MM Combination

one might want to cut them a piece of plywood for that battery box before you toss in a battery and try to start it. I'll let the crazy crowd fight over it.

This is still worth doing if you have an extra 100,000.00 on top of the 30,000.00 to buy it and the shipping costs.

That guy make a massive mistake by letting it rot. He could have been up a 100,000.00 instead of it taking that to getting it restored. Doh

I would love to see it on the road again in it's former glory (or as close as possible).

Some wrecks are not worth it but this one will likely find a deep pocketed fanatic.

Just not something I am able to afford to buy let alone restore.

Good luck to the one who can,
Darren

Tragically one can imagine the beautiful car it was when parked eighteen years ago...outside. Even back then this car would have been appreciated by many as the piece of "art" it was.

I don't see anything "minor" or "easy" about it anymore! He uses those terms pretty loosely!

OMG !

Gotta LOVE those '59 Coaches! Twenty Four Bids to "$12000" within only 6 hours of listing. You got to wonder if it's a restoration shop, or someone who has never restored a car like this in his life!

'Renovation Cost' is all relative to where you live and I think this car would cost WAY MORE then $100k to restore in Orlando, FL. Too bad he didn't park it in the barn 18 yrs ago. What a sad case.

Kudos to the seller for an informative description and a decent set of photos.

Too bad they were mimes during the video ! LOL

The only sounds were the rust screaming during the opening and closing of the doors.

Incredible demand still out there at almost half the buy it now price in a day.

Very cool or a fool. Not sure yet.

Interesting to say the least,
Darren

New Bidders

Now its up to half the BIN price. 8-9 enthusiastic bidders who have no idea what will be left by the time you cut out all that rust. I was thinking 'parts car' in the beginning. The stainless and glass were the keepers. Maybe the back bumper. Has anybody noticed most ProCars seldom ever have a production back bumper? Most all of mine, at least the center sections, were custom.
I've been having problems getting commercial grade sintered metallic brakes shoes in FL. and have to shop Nationwide. Standard shoes, avail. most any local parts store will mount but, not work well in an emergency.

at this time you can still by quality replacement panels for one of these. were I would not have one of them in my driveway longer then it took to pass on to someone, there seams to be a deep pocket crowd that is willing to pay to be trendy. I'm not amused nor amazed at the depth they will go.

Currently at 23,100.00 without meeting the reserve.

Remember Danny Ryder had that sweet '59 MM at the meet in Hudson and just needed a little TLC and he couldn't get 20,000.00 for a running driving car with a killer interior !

Some people just don't see the light at the end of the tunnel !

At 23,000 + why wouldn't a serous fool just buy it before they loose it.

What's a extra 5 grand when they will be spending endless money on it anyway.

Doh,
Darren

Using the "measure" that some of these people use to price their cars, we're sitting on a $40,000 car in our '64 in it's current original, survivor condition. I think the pricing on this is waaayyyy out of line!!! To me, reality wold be more like $1,500 to 2,000, then the restoration. When you're finished spending over $1000,000 to purchase and refurb you would have a very nice $25,000 car. Deep pockets are one thing, a fool and his money a whole different story!!!

That's my thoughts, as always feel free to correct my thinkings!!!

In today's market restored it's rat at 50 G it will bring the same if you never clean the junk out of it. People are strange!

SOLD !!!

At least it says sold. Who knows if it will get paid for or relisted as a dead beat bought it.

Hopefully on its way to a restoration shop !

Doh,
Darren
