1956 Dodge Landau

I can't make up my mind if this long wheelbase, three-door, landau-like, 1956 Dodge could possibly be a product of the Memphis Coach Company or if it's an ambulance that has been customized. Nevertheless, it's interesting. Anyone got any thoughts? Mr. Loftin?

I'm willing to bet the sunroof is a custom job and so other aspects of this vehicle are probably custom as well (including my hunch the passenger doors which look like they has been customized and closed off. Did they ever really make 3 door hearses, if so not very practicable

Note that it's drilled out for 1956 Dodge side trim (adapted for commercial chassis I'm sure), yet appears to be missing the style sweep that arches over the rear wheel and to the bumper on '56 Dodges.

A quick Google image search didn't turn up any 1956 Dodge hearses that matched this one however...

the back door would look to be a universal. it's the same style. yes they did offer the long wheel base in a 3 door. with a number of odd window destines. none of the miss match pieces show up on the main body so it would appear to have had damage on the left front and the replacement sheet metal is in place.
the number of this type of odd ball rigs is so often passed over that to find one is a real rare treat. if this were a MM we would be talking on how you could salvage it. the sun roof looks to be the type offer for sale in the 70's we put in a number of them. you have posted pictures of two different cars here. yes they are in the same add but they show both sides of the green car and it's not black and white. the add states parts of it were used on the green one. so with out looking in person who can say

Jesse & his dad Craig have been trying to sell this & their property in Oregon for years. I believe Atti knows them well & perhaps he can shed some light on this car.

I've scratched my head over this one since the first time it was offered. The roof line sort of says Memphis and the rear door Comet, but the upper front door frame doesn't look familiar. It's definitely not a Memphian, though; here's a '56 Memphis/Plymouth:
