1954 Cadillac Superior

I just found a service station sticker on the door jam from the Signal gas station in Toppenish,WA. I couldn't read the customer name because the glue had bled through from the back. I carefully removed the sticker and tried alcohol on a Q-tip on another area of the decal..that worked a little bit so I tried something a little more aggressive..starting fluid. that cleaned the decal up toot sweet. I could now read the name "Hopkins Mortuary" which I promptly Googled. I got a few hits but only in older funeral posts from the sixties. I gave the only listed funeral home a call and asked if they had heard of Hopkins. The director replied that their business used to be Hopkins..Bingo!
I then asked if they had a photo archive that might have pics of this car...he said unfortunately not. I asked about the Hopkins family and apparently they are all gone...oh well! , I tried!

Pat, is the 54 becoming a keeper instaed of a parts car? :)
Jim,
That is a tough one. This car needs inner and outer rockers. That is usually where I draw the line on a car. I have squashed far better cars in the past... but when I stand back and look at the car I think it deserves to be fixed.
Cheers,Pat
