1947 Dodge 7 Passenger - $9900 (Northern Minnesota)

I have for sale a rarely seen 1947 Dodge Model D 24 7 Passenger Sedan. This car has been well cared for. Always stored inside and well maintained. Flathead 6 cylinder runs excellent. Fluid drive system works good. Gauges all work. Speedometer just quit. I looked up under the dash and the cable is unscrewed out of the speedometer. Looks like the end is frayed. I couldn't get it to go back together but didn't work at it to hard. Car was bought new in Winnipeg and was there until 2 years ago. Was in a couple movies. Had the new wide white walls about 5 years ago. Had a complete brake system 4 years ago. Cost over $3,000 Canadian for that. Heater works good. We just used it for a wedding 10/27/2018. I think most of the paint is original. Upholstery is very decent original also. The stain on the drivers seat I think would come out with the right cleaner. I will listen to offers as I would like to sell the car. We have had our fun with it. I can deliver if needed:

Looks pretty neat! Great video of the car and it sounds good, too! Redo the interior, trunk and detail engine compartment and you have a heck-of-a-car.

I wouldn't even do much to the interior. Fabric is correct. Would need to re-do the door arm rests. Beautiful car!

In the last pic there is what appears to be a solenoid bolted on the exhaust manifold. Any idea what this is? Thanks

Not a solenoid its the electric choke for the carburator. Boy does this one bring back memories when I was a kid in Philadelphia Yellow Cab operated a small fleet of these dark blue with yellow lettering Cabulance. They had 1/2 front and rear seats to accomidate a litter and the center post opened with the rear door. My mother was badly injured in an accident riding in a regular Yellow Cab in 1950. She rode home in a Cabulance after a stay in the hospital. The driver a nice well trained guy got a wheelchair out of the trunk of the big Dodge and he and my dad got mom upstairs in the chair. I was super impressed by the whole thing asked the driver if it had a siren answer yes. Driver said they did not do emergency work that was for the Police they just did transport. Yellow must have quit the Cabulance service sometime in the mid 50s as I don't remember seeing them in the late 50s and we had left Phila. by then.

I will say guy did a great job with video covering most anything you would want to see. May some underneath pictures would be in order but looks like a nice car and price is fair.

Kerr's Funeral Chapel in Winnipeg, Manitoba owned a pair of these, at least well into the 1970s, possibly longer. Since the owner states this car was purchased new in Winnipeg, I would suspect this may be one of the two.

Who, other than a funeral director, would have ordered this car without the optional clock? Beautiful car!! Just change out the vinyl on the base of the rear seat(really bad color match), recover the door arm rests, and have fun with it!

Jim, the owner told me that if he doesn't get a good offer, he plans to hotrod It. I sure hope somebody steps up and saves it, what a shame to lose a legit old car, in my opinion.

Could be, but he actually seems to have a plan to mount it on a Dodge pickup with a Cummins diesel. To each his own, as they say.
