1979 Lincoln Limousine, Gorgeous Disco Era!

Thats strange as a friend from Australia who spent several years here in the USA a Packard guy became enamored with the big TC and had a blue 79 with DISC brakes and a 460. I remember well as I was running a 76 PSP Gran Fury 440 at the time and we had a street drag and I blew his doors off. He made it a point of telling me the TC had a 460. For fun I will check Hollander. Oh yeah and the Fury got 12 mpg. too.

I will skip checking the Hollander perhaps my friends was modified. I have to admit all the 79s I ever had were dogs
I just in the last few years began liking this style. You are right Pete, they tend to be dogs. Perhaps the Variable Venturi carburetors are one of their biggest problems, they were often choked up, running rough and blowing dark gray, or black smoke.

Did The Ewings have a limo? We were loyal watchers of Dallas for its entire run, we loved that show.
Not that I recall Bill, but I distinctly remember them having at least one non-limo Lincoln of this era though. If I remember it properly, which is very iffy, Jacques had a dark green one as his personal car.

Actually, I remember a triple gold Mark V, in the early days that Jacques "Jock Ewing" drove. I think the license plate read EWING 1
