SWEET RIDE!!
1962 Ford Galaxie Hearse
This is a One-of-a-Kind Vehicle!

★ This Hearse is Unique.★
I have not been able to find one like it.

All work done on it since I purchased it has been to restore it to its original state. It has not been modified to be anything other than what it is: a Classic!
But, it still needs some TLC. This is an opportunity for a collector to complete the restoration process.

It starts, runs, drives, and turns heads everywhere I take it!

The engine has been completely rebuilt. It has a new carb, new gas tank, restored radiator, and new belts/hoses. The transmission is smooth and the breaks are good.
Odometer: 38337K
VIN: 2G52V128729
I have several pages of invoices and mechanic’s notes for documentation of all work done on this vehicle.

Please, serious inquiries only.
Buyer is responsible for all pick-up, shipping/transport arrangements and fees.
All sales are FINAL.
Sold as-is without warranties.

sold last year for around 2 if I recall right. so who overhauls a engine and does not paint it when you put it back in? depending on his reserve this one would be nice for the man that wants something different.

Anyone remember what it was sold for the last two times? Looks like the current owner used the old shiny car trick by hosing it down before pictures. Still a worthy restoration project in any event. I also can't imagine it's seen much use in the past seven years. It still has the same license plates it did when Tony first saw it. That makes me question it's drivability, since none of the last three owners ever got new plates for it, despite moving states.

Wow you are spot on...I looked at the picture again. The hose is sitting on the ground near the edge of the photo! Nice work, and thank you for referencing the previous thread about this car. :applause:

we all complain about sellers now washing one off and now one does and we??? but no hide the ball here one look at the hood shot and you know your into a repaint. funny that National would use lacquer on it but that may have been what they were set up to shoot. as I stated my recall is the last time it was sold it was around 2 grand. this man stated he over hauled the engine. your choice to believe him or not. but no reason with only 60000 on it it doesn't run good. he states he has done a lot of mechanical things to it. a 6 banger with a 3 speed stick is not everyone's cup of tea. not in a full size ford converted to a hearse but that 270 was a tough little engine. or was it 170 hell to get old and dis remember. my bet is 170. wounder they did not get a overdrive in it.

vary true on the overdrive. but then show me a new v8 that doesn't drop out on a steep hill. the older mechanical ones were quite noticeable when the did because they had to kill the engine to make the shift. but I would be willing to bet you tuned up and running good this Hearse would do in the mid 20s going down the road. that's with points and a carb. bias ply tires and all.

Those are NOT current WA plates on it. those are plates that were used in used in the 70s up until about 1985

I actually meant Oregon, not Washington, sorry. But it is the current Oregon plate. At least in one picture. One of the other photos shows the old Minnesota plates in back.

Close-Up of Hood says It All

close-up pix says it all. It's a $trip and Paint Project. Neat but, Six Banger kills it. Must have been a Budget Funeral Home Car. Definitely don't see these that often.
