My New Coach, 1973 S&S Victoria

Well i was planing on waiting to tell about the new coach until I got it home, but with the discussion in the S&S Photo thread about green coaches, I figured I would go ahead and spill the beans. About a week or so ago, i bought a 1973 S&S Victoria End-Loader from PCS member Mike Robison. The coach is in beautiful shape, with 50,000 miles. Mike is the second owner of the coach, and it originaly came out of Nebraska. THe car has had one repaint, and was repainted in its original dark green, with green interior, and its original black vynal top. I would like to say a big thank you to Tony Karsnia for telling me about this coach, and putting me in contact with Mike Robison. And also a big thank you to Mike for selling me this beautiful car, and for my new found PCS friend. To see pics of the car, check out page 2 of the S&S Photo Thread. I will post more and better pics soon as i get her home.

I was hoping he would have had it in here in time for our Cave City meet this weekend but it will be here in time for our next one thought!

Me and you both. This time its not the shipper, I got him pretty much on stand by. This time its the seller. Mike has had a very bisy schedule with funerals, and was out of town part of last week and this week, and hasn't had a chance to get her ready to go yet, whitch is very understandable. Hopefully we will get her home sometime next week.

How Soon..........................

How soon you gonna sell it Josh, there is a pool getting started and I wanted some insider information?:yankchain:

Oh hush. If I would stop hanging out with Danny Ryder i might could actually keep one. This is a rather unique coach with the color combination, and is a very nice rust free car. I would really like to hang on to this one. I already have 2 combos, its kind of nice to have a straight hearse too.

Well its finally home. Took a little longer than I wanted, when I called my shipper guy to tell him he could go ahead and pick it up, he said he had taken a run out to CA to drop off a car and would be back in a few days. Well I called him a few days later to see what day he was planing on making the trip up there to get it, and he informed me that he was still on his way back from CA, that his truck had blown a head gasket, and if he ever made it home it would be at least a week or more before he could make the trip. Well then Danny Ryder came to the rescue as always, and said let me see if I can find you someone to get it. A couple days later I get a txt from Danny saying I may have a guy to do it. Sure enough he did. Not only did it get shipped in a inclosed traler, but you couldn't ask for a nicer guy, or a better price. He picked the car up yesterday evening, and had it here about 9 AM this morning. So, a great big thank you goes out to Danny Ryder for his help once again. I would also like to thank Mike Robison and Tony Karsnia once again also. What would we do without our PCS friends. The car is everything it was said to be and more. I'm really loving the dark metallic green too. Here are a couple pics I snapped real quick this morning. i'll get some better ones when I get her all cleaned up.

I find it interesting that this coach has no S&S markings anywhere on it. No Date Marks on the hood, no Victoria badges on the fenders, and no S&S center caps on the hub caps. Yes i do have the wood-grain sale panels though, for some reason when the FH had it painted they didn't have them put back on. THis reminds me I need to find a set of 4 S&S center caps for it. This coach has always ben Funeral home owned, so opairently they must have ordered it this way, or changed it when it was repainted.

Josh,
Do you happen to know if your drapes are original to the car? I am wanting to replace the airline drapes in my '75 Victoria 3-way with something more formal. I like the look of yours and need to come up with a pattern for my friend who makes drapes professionally.
