Ed, the carpet is supposed to cover the seat tracks. The seat goes in first, then the carpet. Possibly you can make the proper cuts to get the carpet over the seat tracks.
 
Ok we'll look into to that. But like you said the Biscayne would have been a rubber rug. I found the tag off the original replacement Pinner put in. It didn't say GM.
 
I know but I didn't want to fill the holes Pinner put in the panel so I put it on up right with out the forward tilt. by the way this is the tag off the original carpet. the seat was laid on top if it also. does anyone know a source for these clips. they a push in like a barrel nut but rectangular. they used them one the quarter script and on the Impala script on the tailgateIMG_2600.JPGIMG_2601.JPG
