He states they were built by independent companies yet still hints there were built by Cadillac. Authorized by Cadillac would be the way to put it. Then sold threw dealers with a standard warranty. The earlier ones were built by Hess & Eisenhart who did a number of different cars for GM on the 85-89 FWD chassis in a separate plant then their pro car line But not a bad write-up.
