Work progressing on my 1970 superior

June 5, 1951 - January 29, 2020
The last few days I've had some time to work on my 1970 superior 51" rescuer.Replaced some rusty brake lines, and bled the rear wheel cylinders with the help of my able assistant (my wife Mary)

Also filled the rear end fluid.Had to use my trusty torch to help free up the brake bleeder screws, and also on the plug in the rear end.Cleaned them up on the wire wheel and blew them clean with compressed air.used never seize on the threads.

lots of rust to contend with but I'm cleaning it up as i go.Tomorrow I'll do a complete tune up and change the oil and filter, and air filter.as long as everything checks out OK it will go for NY state inspection on Monday or Tuesday.after that it's back home for more cleaning and detailing.

hopefully after all this I'll finally get to cruise her a little bit.I want to take my friend Babe (the gentleman i bought the car from for a ride in it) I ENJOY WORKING ON IT ALMOST AS MUCH AS DRIVING IT!!!!!!

This is the first time I've been able to work on her since my operation.I'm sure I'll pay for it over the next couple of days.:)

I know that feeling but do what you can then let it go for a day or so. if you like me playing with rusty brake bleeders is a lot more interesting then re runs of Law and Order. it really surprising how fast things come together when you do one small thing a day in a positive direction. but at least state a album so we can follow along.
