withdrawal symptoms

Do the rest of you suffer from withdrawal symptoms when you do not get to drive your procar for a long period of time? Just wondered if I was the only one that has this problem.
We have been so busy that my coach has not been out of the barn for several weeks now.

You betcha Mike. Down here it is simply too hot to take it out but we have a cold snap arriving on Wednesday with a high of only 88 degrees.

Once April gets here, I get withdrawals after missing more than 3 weekends without some type of PCS meet! When November gets here, I just hibernate!

The only time I get to drive mine is if I drive them to dealership. If there is a weekend without a meet I just find a procar to go buy that weekend. Dont know how the guys in the north deal with putting there cars away for the winter, I like being able to drive mine year round.

always one...

or in our case several that have to rub it in that some of us do not live in one of the sunny, drier, states. We won't mention any names here Richard and Danny.
But we enjoy ours more do to the wait.
Remember what grandma always said, 'if its worth having its worth waiting for'.

This is why I hate the fall and winter. November 1st my cars go into hibernation and they don't come back out till April.

I drive mine year round unless theres snow on the ground. Although, my 71 Mark III just went into long term hibernation due to mechanical problems. I guess after 21 years of ownership, its time to spend a large chunk of money on her

Tonight it was 52 degrees in central Massachusetts with a beautiful, almost-full moon in the clear sky. I took my '72 Cadillac high-top out for a wonderful hour-long drive on side streets and back roads. My I-Pod was playing my favorite tunes from my portable player sitting on the front seat and Elvis was resting comfortably on the gurney in the back. It won't be long before the snows arrive to New England, but tonight, I was in heaven. What a great ride!

Aaah the benefits of living in Cactusland...I turned the A/C off yesterday in the house as we said goodbye to the triple digits till next Spring...Hopefully.

Now it's time to bring out the light blankies for the nights so our furr kids feel comfortable while snuggled in. Marilyn and I might even get used to sleeping without the A/C on soon.

It has been so cold here that my dogs have taken over the bed......

Itching to cruise...

With a 5 year restoration on my Hudson coming to a close, I'm looking forward to making my procar project a reality. I don't think I could endure the agony of attending car shows carless again due to a restoration going over budget and oblivious to a time line. Hopefully sooner than later, I'll be able to make the limo find mine and be able to wrench on it while still being able to cruise and enjoy a cool car. The waiting is the hardest part!

Yes, I go into withdrawal if I don't get to drive one for a while, so I'll use one for an occasional errand to keep things turning. I've always thought that the cooler months are nicer to drive these cars anyway. They generate so much heat that they're more comfortable in cool/cold weather.

I will be going to be in withdrawal soon from from not going to any car shows or cruise ins. I have been going the last Thur. and the first Thur. of each month since April, to cruise ins. I have one more and none until April of next year. There are a few car shows scattered around, but not any cruise ins close. I enjoy the cruise ins more as they are free and no judging.

Having the cars in the garage out behind our house helps a lot with the winter blues. Even though they are not driven in the snow, I go out there many times over the winter to gaze at, and sit in, them.

Even so, it's not too bad because I still get to drive this:

More of us than I thought!!

And I thought I was the only one that would get in the hearse and just sit there!!!!
