When I got my 50 year old coach, I found the wipers did not work (imagine that)
I figured I was not out anything if I couldnt fix it myself and was curious to see what made them tick. So I removed the motor and did a bench test.....nothing. I disassembled it, paying close attention to the order parts came off. After removing all the gears, etc I applied power to the motor and it spun beautifully. So I de-rusted, cleaned and relubed all the moving parts (and the parts that were SUPPOSED to move but didnt)
After reassembly, I tested it again and it worked for a couple seconds then something either binds or skips and sends the entire thing out of "time" the output shaft slips into the housing.
I have had it apart and back together countless times and it seems different each time. ONCE, it ran but had such a loud popping sound I was afraid something inside was gonna break.
Has anyone had one of these apart and back to gether successfully?
