Who remembers this horse drawn?

A friend of mine (Tony) just posted pictures of Motor City Nightmares on Face Book. It seems like it is a trade show of sorts that focuses around Halloweenish themes. He posted a couple of pictures of different hearses, but this one caught my eye because I have pictures of it when we went to downtown Flint for the Back To The Bricks cruise.

The question would be...
Was there some sort of back story to this coach? I remember talking to the guy that brought it to show, but I can't remember if there was some famous person taken in it or if there was some other story to go with it. I wanted to tell Tony about it, but I can't remember what I talked to the owner about.

Good thing is that the owner is still getting it out and showing it.

This picture is of it going to Motor City Nightmares this past weekend.

The hearse is owned by Nelson-House Funeral Home of Owosso, Michigan. A page of the Funeral Home website shares some information about it.

It was used for the funeral of Rosa Parks on November 2, 2005.

Not only does the owner use and display the hearse frequently, but it is also displayed in a special glass enclosure at the Funeral Home when not in use.

With the information provided, I am more intrigued now...

...it was restored and used in the U.S. Bicentennial Parade in Butler County, PA. Nelson-House...

Used in Butler Pennsylvania???

That is where I grew up! I lived in Butler for a long time!

Need more info! Need more info! Need more info!

I think I am in shock now! I want to know who in Butler had it and why!

A simple question turned complicated!
