Does anyone know where I can buy a set of white wall tires without spending $1000.00? I remember there was a thread on here before but most all of those tires have been discontinued. Tire Rack no longer carries white walls and discount tire has Hancook's but they are about to be discontinued in a white wall as per their sales person.

I have bought 2 sets of the Hankook Optimo H724 XL(Extra Load)235-75-15's they are WW as well as having a 2183# max wt they are still availabel here in my area......
I know that Wal-Mart carries them online,as well as SUMMIT Racing...and Americas Tire.....
I think also Sears was selling them.....
I have been really pleased with them ....I Think that Kevin Lynch here on the board just bought some also,as we had chatted about them before.
I think that Cooper Trendsetter SE's are still available also....and Bridgestone Insignia SE200's were available until a few months ago,you might check there still might be some around.

White Wall Tires
We ran into the same thing when we replaced tires. Either they were special order or cost 750 plus. Although we did not want to the white 99 Eagle and the blue S & S now have black walls. The white Eureka still has white walls. It is not bad on the blue coach as it is just used for a 2nd out 1st call vehicle. But I do not like the looks of the 99.

I know you can buy American Classics with the right load range and white wall widths from Coker Tire in Chattanooga at a some what reasonable cost. I've yet to buy from them but my next set purchased will possibly come from there as I can pick them myself and save on shipping. My shop I use will mount and balance any tire I bring him for $10.00 each.

Your right Coker does have the tires in most whitewall widths thay you could want..I just order a set of 3"ww's from them in January to put on my 60 Impala....you are luck,that you can pick them up...I was charged $27.00 per tire for the shipping to Calif...but...a lot cheaper then driving to Tennesee

Your right Coker does have the tires in most whitewall widths that you could want..I just ordered a set of 3"ww's from them in January to put on my 60 Impala....you are lucky,that you can pick them up...I was charged $27.00 per tire for the shipping to Calif...but...a lot cheaper then driving to Tennessee
I guess the Hankook's are the way to go at this point. Not much of a choice and the Coopers are only a 40,000 mile tire. They are for a 97 Lincoln Hearse, the original size was 225/75/15. I wonder if the 235's would work? Hankook's do come in 225/75/15 so thats what I guess I'll go with.

I always buy Hankook white walls for my cars. Very good tires. Even my 49 S&S wears Hankook (215/85R16) 4" whitewalls from DiamondBack classic.

In reguards to tires,, and i have posted this before, in the pcs 1995 show in Ft. Wayne
Paul Zurcher of Zurcher Tire in Monroe In. located about 20 miles south of Ft. Wayne, took about 40 of us pcs members to diner, we had also toured his store and block long warehouse, all of you, get pcs pricing, the tires for the coaches, are still availble in white walls,,, master craft made by cooper
out price is around 90.00 a tire,, with the load rating for the coaches, its all i run on all my cars, the contact number is 260-692-6171 ask for Joe, and i will call Paul monday and set this all up. They are the largest wholesale and retail group in the United States, at one time Paul personally owned over 10% of Firestone. Also for any of you need carb work ,, Nationial Carburator, in Jacksonville Fla. for a rebult Quatrajet for 1972 caddy,, 169.00 + 50.00 core, there is a virtal tour on there web site, they have over 30 Million dollars worth of inventory, they sell to autozone, napa,, O" reilys etc. i ask them about a 55 chrysler, they said same price, just have to send it to them.. For radiators,, U.S. Radiator, again they have a great web site, and video tours, they have all the patterns for all the coach radiators, and very resonable, oem is like 400.00 next step up is 500.00 and extra heavy duty, is like 600.00 and not they low end china stuff,, made in the u.s.a. and all brand new,, not recore. First off, I have NOT bought anything frpom Coker Tire. I e-mailed them inquiring about tires for my 48. The guy e-mailed back and responded in a way , like he didn't care. I told him the load range was very important, and he said their tires with the WWW only went up to #1700, but I would need tubes and also to over inflate the psi. I asked him another question a week later and never heard back from him.
But I was at a swap meet in Wichita and got another tire place out of Dallas,Texas. They have a nice supply of WWW, and the prices were a little less than Coker for what I was looking for.

You are not the only one, I will not deal with Coker, and never will, and I know of alot of others that feel the same way. Most people do not realize there are more WWW manufactures out there than just Coker.
Does anyone know who makes the American Classics? When going to the website it shows Coker as a distributer, so Im afraid they make them.
I need new 205/75R14 with 1" ww on my 85 Superior FWD, and since the Demention IV's are now discontinued the only options I have found are ACs or Diamondbacks for this size.
you betcha they will work. i run 235/75/15's and have more load range as well. coker is not my ffavorite fella. had a problem with a bias ply firestone for my chevelle and after 4 calls and a its not our problem, i bought radial t/a's. still have the other 3 though. use em to swing in at the country place. so far no problems with them seperating on the tree swings. michelins but they are pricey but have 55k on the ones on my truck and they will need to be replaced this year. hankooks is what i ran on all my wreckers as they gave the best wear.

I had issues with Coker in the past also with Firestone Bias....I also just went with TA's for my wifes chevelle......So I was a bit hesitant to go through with another order for my 60 Impala,,,but to my surprise I had no problems and th sales guy was actually polite !! I guess its WHO you get to help you.....
I am glad to hear you are not having any issues with the tree swings,so at least they ARE serving a purpose !!

I spent WAY too much time on the internet shopping for Coker bias ply tires for my Comet Olds. What I found very interesting was that the cost of the tire was the same, right down to the dollar, regardless of the dealer, location or internet seller that was offering the product. The only variable was the shipping charge. I ended up saving a ton on shipping by getting mine (off the internet) from Performance Plus in Long Beach, CA. Shipping was free, with a small handling/boxing charge of $19.95 for the whole set of 4 tires.
