Where is my Fusebox?

I was out in the shop this afternoon playing with the beacon on my 76 M-M, and I think I may have blown a fuse. So where would the fuse box be on a 76 M-M? Thanks in advance.

Follow the steering column all the way to the bottom, the fuse box should be located either on the left or the right somewhere. Possibly along the firewall , or above the e-brake petal.

M&M usually fused the emergency equipment in a remote location. Look under the the passenger side dash to the right side. Also under the hood on the fire wall. Being that it is a combo I would check under the dash. You are looking for glass fuses in a fuse junction marked Beacon

I got so use to the 67 M-M the first thing I did was pop the hood and look on the fire wall. I'll dig out a flashlight tomorrow and look under the dash again. Thanks for your help.

A 75 M-M I stripped in the junkyard had a add on fuse panel on the inside firewall behind the glove box.

it's only 1/2 of a fuse block.....:hide: half of the fuse holders are missing..

behind the glove box on a 75 is a new one one me. I'll try to remember that. but all the added stuff is on a different one then the main fuse box GM put on. MM use a plate screwed to the fire wall or I guess in your case behind the glove box. they all look something like this, I have seen black and white, green and white, red and white. but there all much the same thing. this one on my 72 Seville has the fix the power problem all ready done. they tend to corrode on the back side at the rivets in the brass plate. so you add a wire down the connectors to make them all hot. of course you can only do that on the power side.

Ok, found the fuse block, and quickly found out there was no beacon fuse in it. Then I checked where Jeremy told me to check the other day. So, I took 2 screws out and folded the switch panel down, and bam, there was breakers and fuses. I put in a different breaker, then tryed a fuse, and still no beacon. so, i think I may have blone a switch.

your messing in the gm fuse box. look for the add on panel were people have told you it is, behind the glove box. MM did not wire the extra equipment in the gm fuse box they add a fuse panel of there own to wire to.

Ok Ed and Daniel, let me refraze what I was saying. I found the GM fuse block under the dash, and I also found the M-M fuse block, whitch is in the overhead switch panel above the windshield that hinges down. It has breakers and fuses both. I put a different breaker in the spot for the beacon, and got nothing. Then I put a fuse in it instead, and still nothing. I think it might be the switch. Sorry if I confused you.
