I know some of us have a preference of what kind of Pro-Cars we like best, and some of us just like them all equal. So what kind of Pro-Car guy or gal are you? I myself, like them all pretty much equal, but I would have to say Hearses and combos would be nearest to my heart, but its kind of hard for me to pick one over the other. You have 7 days to vote.

My favorites are hearses and service cars. I was happy to find out my hearse was used as a First Call car at Her last funeral home.

I figured Ambulances would wind up getting the most votes, but I'm kind of supprised to see that flower cars have more than Limos. This could get interesting. Thanks for your votes.

My pro-car of choice is the Limousine. Or, to be more technically accurate, the Limousine and 9-passenger Sedan.

You get the best of both worlds with these cars... the luxury and convenience of the Fleetwood Brougham (standard power seats and windows, climate control, roomy interior and options such as Twilight Sentinel and cruise control).

Along with the above, you get to enjoy the Limousine-only features such as a power partition window, standard dual climate control, room for 9 people w/jump seats, and elegant and unique rear compartment with posh seats (my '76 limo has a crushed velour rear seat... very comfortable, and a very smooth and quiet ride.

Here are some photos to illustrate:

Well the votes are in, the winner is, Ambulances. I kind of thought Ambulance would take it, but I thought Combo and Hearse would be reversed, as well as Limo and Flower-Car. Very interesting, thanks for your votes.

I also would have thought combos would come before hearse, the dignity of a hearse with all the fun and toys of an ambulance.

I didn't want to start a new thread just to post these two photos. So here they are in this thread. A 1971 Cadillac brochure featuring the professional cars (not the ambulance, for some reason)...

I've had samples of many different procars. At one time I had a '76 S&S Professional hightop ambulance, bought mostly to be a sister to my '76 S&S Victoria. I'll have to dig out a photo showing both.

Anyway, as neat as the ambulance was with all the lights and things, it didn't quite trip my trigger the way the funeral stuff does, so when a decent offer came though, I let it go.

So my vote would be split between anything limo or funeral related. I have a soft spot for combinations, because of their amazing flexibility and ability to carry 5 people with some degree of comfort. I sold my '54 Series 75 limo a few years back, and still miss it, but I knew it needed a lot of work in order to put it into the condition I wanted. I still look to replace it some day, if anyone has any leads on a '53 - '62 limo with NO DIVIDER.

I love my flower car and hearses equally after that. The photo below was taken in front of Fairlane, Henry Ford's residence. Tom

I'm badically a hearse guy, but have always had a strong parallel interest in ambulances and combos urilizing the same basic body shell. Limos, two -- I love 'em all! - Walt
