What kind of Pro-Car guy are you?

Darren's post on If you could have only one Pro-Car, got me to thinking. I know we have some guys that prefer one type of Pro-Car more than others, and some who are in to all of them equaly. So, what kind of Pro-Car guy are you? Are you more of a Ambulance guy, Hearse guy, Combo guy, Limo guy, Flower Car guy, or do you just like them all equaly? As for me, well I'm one of the ones that likes them all about equal.

Well, let's see.....

I think most folks would figure me to be an ambulance guy.

They'd be right, of course!

I really do enjoy all types of professional cars, and I do see the art and craftsmanship in a nice hearse, flower car, or limo, too.

I am predominately an ambulance guy. I worked for two private ambulance companies that ran liveries though and a couple of funeral homes so I can appreciate both. That said I am a dyed in the wool ambulance guy. That is all I ever will own because it is who I am, what I was and what will always be.

Limo guy here. It's fun to be able to take your friends along with you, plus, there is the potential for making a little extra money on the side....strictly donations of course....I won't tell if you don't...oops, I just did.

I still like all of the others as well, don't get me wrong. I have just always been drawn to the limousines.

Hearse guy, although I certainly appreciate the other types of professional cars as well.

Lights & Sirens on Ambulances are cool, but youre limited in what you can do with the car. I own a hearse and its my only pro car, but I was actually looking to buy a Fleetwood Series 75 when I stumbled upon my Lincoln hearse. I would have to say deep down, Im a limo guy. I guess its from my days as a chauffeur!

Even though i don't one yet i,m turning more to a ambulance guy with a second liking to limousine's maybe because i,m a former limousine driver .

I'm an ambulance guy, however limos are a close second. I have owned all except a flower car and drive a limo for my every day vehicle, but drove ambulances for 33 years and they have a special place in my heart.

Ever since seeing a '50 Eureka landau as a very young kid, I've gravitated toward the funeral side of the cars. Sadly, that car is confirmed as having been crushed. But it planted the seed that helped build my current collection. The town of Berlin Connecticut used to own a '65 Cadillac Superior red & white lowtop ambulance which always caught my eye during parades, but I always thought the '50 hearse was much more austere and cool.

I did own a very nice '76 S&S Professional ambulance for a couple years, and it showed well next to my '76 Victoria, but despite the bells and whistles, it never felt particularly special to me, and I have since sold it.

I do like the Cadillac Series 75 limos too. I had a very decent '54, but it needed lots of work to put it into the condition I desired, so when an offer came through to buy it, I let it go, using the money for the current projects of '39 LaSalle engine rebuild and '60 Eureka repaint. I would definitely entertain the thought of purchasing another '50's or very early '60's limo, if anyone knows of a nice one for sale. Tom

First ride was in an ambulance, and a High School friend had an awesome Fire Dept 62 Biscayne wagon that was converted to personal use.

Guess that makes me an Ambulance guy.
