What do these fit on?

Picked up a pair for GM fender skirts VERY cheap at our towns annual Fall Mile Long Yard Sale Saturday but I'm having problems trying to figure out what they go on. I know for sure and tell by looking at them that there not for a 71-76 or a 70 Cadillac. The trim is pot metal not stainless. Figured they were worth getting if someone needs them! Any ideas appreciated!

fender skirts

Jeremy,
Look on the inside of the lip that fits against the fender. There may be some numbers or letters that will help id these. Yes, you have to let us know what you find.

They stopped using pot metal trim in the late 1950's, so my guess is that they are from a GM product prior to 1959. Possibly an early 1950's Cadillac or Buick. Pontiac wasn't big on skirts back then, so you are limited to Pontiac, Buick, or Cadillac, in my opinion.

I agree , the skirts are not very tall. Typical of the early to mid 50's. The 70's had more to them.. Also the right side portion is extended down much more. I would say early 50's. GM

something with long flat panels. gm is out except caddy the long dog leg looks close to 66 caddy style. but there most likly off a chrysler wagon long dog leg shallow quarter and flat. if it's ford it has to be Mercury. who else had those chrome crustaceans all over the car. but they did not get long and flat till mid 60s threw 70s.

Buick Electra 225

'73 - '76 Buick Electra 225 Limited would be my guess...

Yup looks pretty spot on to me Martyn. I'm rather partial to Buicks. Rember my mom had about a 71 Buick when i was young. Dad raced a 75 Skylark. Remember helpin pops with it, he'd say if you see a nut or bolt that's not holding something important important, take it off! She was gutted! Think the Electra got hit and the 455 ended up being freshened up and shoved in that Skylark to the tune of some high 12 low 13's! Those old Buicks were power houses.

Back on topic, those skirts looked just what like my moms Buick had. I would be very confident that these fit 71-76 Buick.

Makes me wanna go out and get a nice 71/2 Electra 225 just so i can buy em from you haha! They wont fit my current Buick unfortunately.
