What are they?

They are brackets to hold a ferno scoop stretcher. I have a set of them in my garage that came out of a 77 van that was used as an ambulance (real ambulances are not trucks!)

A van is not a truck my dear fellow. However the Rev is correct about the brackets I have a couple sets in the garage.

Vans are trucks, unless they are Club Wagons with rear seating and windows all around. :my2cents:

1970 Econolines were utility vehicles with front seating only. The vans were made in 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton and 1-ton versions. Body styles included a cargo van, window van and display van. The Club Wagon was the passenger version with double side-doors and three rows of seats. It came in Standard, Custom and Chateau trim packages.

Ron, we actually had two matching vans, and trust me they were trucks! When we order them, one of the committee members decided that the suspensions on the cadillacs that we had been using were not strong enough to carry all that we put in them, Now that we were going to vans we could get beefed up suspensions. He did not care that the recommended chassis was a three quarter ton, he had us ordered one ton heavy duty chassises! There were trucks!:stars:
