for those of you that were wondering what was going on with Brendon's 63. we have been in a holding pattern getting a new shop set up. for the first time in a long time I now have a place that I can park a car in, open the doors and walk around it. put a light or two in there while I was at it also. we'll get the heater hung tomorrow and we can start over on the 63. the good new is I got it started and it moved into the new work space under it's own power. kind of like the 53 I used this morning to chase parts with. so it's "Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me" also.

Which will happen first... Jen, Brenden's wife will give birth or the car will be finished??? :alc:

The new seat belt laws prohibit the hospital allowing any baby to leave that isn't properly secured in a state approved baby seat. So much for holding the little tot in your arms on the way home like it was done in yours and my day. In some jurisdictions they even require that the baby seat installation be checked by the local police department. Rumor has it that in a couple of years they are going to require all children to wear helmets while riding in the baby seat...

Wow Ed, I like the new garage you got there! I wouldn't mind having one of those myself. Wouldn't mind having a hightop ambulance to park in there either. My shop is a 40x60, but its all open space. I'd love to have another building to park a car or 2 in to sepporate them from the ones that I'm working on.:toocool:

Like I said Ed, no rush here. No matter what that heckler in Woodstock Ct. has to say!!! He should be cleaning out his garage!!:hide:

no doubt he is right though on the helmets and I would bet a nascar approved head neck device. anything some lobbyist can get congress to write a law on just in case. so that xyz manufacturing is the only place in china you can get a approved one and everyone has to have one. the days of tossing the grand kids in the car and going down for a Ice cream cone are long gone.
they went with taking responsibility for your actions. but enough of that.

if I had a 40x 60 space I would have lined a corner of it added heat and lights and been happy as a pig in mud in Jeremy's front yard. but all we had was 18 x 26 between the trees the other garage and the lot lines. but this will save me from running everything else out to work, then back in again for the night. keep the project car safe from the daily drives and let me store the other cars inside. plus the door is high enough to clear the lights and siren. the other 7 ft door would not make a high top with the warning devices on top. I all ready had the slab poured so the building was the best 12,000 I have ever spent.

Ed great new work space. Take some pictures while it is clean and new looking. i always get a kick at looking at my old pictures and see my spray room all bright white with nothing on the walls. And now look at it with stuff hanging up and overspray every where. But if it too clean means you are not using it right?

Garage Kit?

Hi Ed...great looking garage. Is it a kit or did you have a plan for the build?

My turn?

So, Ed....I'm too damn lazy and time restricted to fix my Criterion myself. When can I ship her down to you? Just need the same magic that you did for Robert.

Not kidding, by the way. Just say when and how much , and I'll book the car carrier. (Provided the "how much" part doesn't give me a heart attack and kill me.)

Hey, get that green thing done and out of there so the "Big Red Criterion" (a real ambulance) can get in for it's surgery. I need mine done for the Ohio meet.

Hold on there Doug, mine is in-line for the next surgical operation. :whip:

Operation? That gorgeous car of yours needs, at best, a band-aid. I haven't seen your Criterion mentioned lately in posts about vehicles that are sadly rusted, unlike my poor Lucille.

But, that said, I'm happy to take my place in line. The reality is that I can't do mine myself and I was deluded to think that I could.

Turns out my Criterion is a great 10 foot car but issues with rust are pretty extensive. The bottom of the doors, front and rear quarters will require a "Metal to Metal" transplant with a few patches on the roof (I think) around the backboard box. Ed will need to get her apart to know for sure.

Ed is not exactly thrilled to take on my baby but we're still knocking it back and forth to see if he will do her. I trust Ed and if anyone knows a Criterion, it would be him.

Not a done deal but he is at least talking to me about it. I don't want to do a slap a$$ job on the Criterion like I've done on the Lifeliner which by the way, will get a new paint job just for the Ohio show.

If it wasn't for that darn retirement money Terri wants me to put away....
