Was this a procar at birth ???

I took these photos at Autorama in Detroit and just noticed after looking through the photos again that this looked like it could have started life as a procar.

What do you think ?

That looks like the top and rear section of a 19-49-52 Chevrolet wagon along with the doors, Pontiac bumpers, Cadillac quarters, and 57 Chevy? Front fenders? I bet this car was more custom built than anything. I really bet they would cut up a wagon before trying to downsize and modify a procar.

they had build pics by it. They took a cad fastback, and did take the roof from a chevy wagon and graft it to the cad. Very pretty car.
