Volunteer Chapter Fall Meet - Berea KY

Once again the Repperts and Coxs are hosting our Fall Meet in Berea Kentucky, September 16th through September 18th. I have 4 double rooms blocked off at Country Inns and Suites 330 Walnut Creek Drive, Berea KY 40403. The group rate is $79.00 per night plus tax. 1-859-228-0340. These were the only double rooms available. They did have some king suites, king sized bed, with a sleeper sofa. I did not block off any of those, but if interested they are still available at this time. Make your reservations fast, with the Spoonbread Festival, they were filling up fast. One hotel was already full. Please email me with your confirmation number. The weekend before, I will cancel any rooms that have not been booked.

Below is information from Rick:

Yes, we are still planning on having the Fall Meet this year. For those that arrive early on Friday, Sept. 16 call the funeral home/stop by the funeral home and we will do supper at the local Cracker Barrel.

Saturday, Sept. 17 -- we are tentatively planning on a trip to a close by country music location called Renfro Valley to check out their Main Street and Museum. Some cost is involved but it is minimal---I will have specific details later. Then there is the Spoonbread Festival going on just over the hill from the funeral home (110 North Broadway) all day with the parade starting at 1 pm. Everyone loves seeing the professional cars and have been asking if we are returning this year!! Lonnie and Geraldine Reppert (hosts) are catering our evening meal at the funeral home so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening under tents, trees and near the vehicles.

Sunday, Sept. 18 -- those that stick around are invited to the Car Show (9 am to 3 pm) to be held on Jefferson Street (also site of the continuing Spoonbread Festival activities).

Plenty to do and lots of artisans working and antique shoppes to visit!!

For more information please call the funeral home (Reppert Funeral Home 859-986-3265) or Rick Cox at 859-200-8567.

I think there is still one room available. I will be cancelling that room Wednesday if it is not reserved. Some others are staying at other hotels.

For those coming, travel safely. See 'ya in a few days!

Additional Saturday Activities

Fellow PCS Member and band leader, Larry Sanders, with his band, Borderline, will be playing at the Spoonbread Festival on Saturday at 715 pm. We will be attending that evening as it is a short walking distance from the Funeral Home. Also--the Saturday evening meal we are supplying for this year will be Lee's Famous Recipe chicken strips!!! Yum, Yum!!!
