I went to Vintage Torquefest yesterday. It is a custom and rod show, anything pre 48 stock is allowed, (but they prefer custom) 49 and newer stock is not allowed, but can park just outside in the classic section. Anything custom or stock newer than 64 not allowed at all. Some people are dressed up in period styles, pinnup contest, live bands, vintage motorcycle races, you can also run your car on the track, swap meet, and much more. The site is www.torquefest.com
What makes this pro car related? Well, I took my 49 not knowing if it would be allowed inside and it was custom enough they let it slide. It drew large crowds all day, I debated on running the track but did not. There was one other pro car besides mine, a 1961 Superior combo. Near the end of the show a few people decided to show off their flamethrowers, so of course I had to join in that. I didnt get a chance to get pics of most of the cars doing it because I went to get mine. Unfortunalty I missed the flamethrower compitition on Fri night.

Better make that 2 others.. You missed this early 1950's Cadillac..... partially hidden by the white trailer...

great show i wish i could of been there. But at least one of the hoodlums was there in his 38 chevy to represent. He did enter the bus races on friday and i guess took second in that. Hopefully next year i will be able to go to it again.

Where are the pin-up contest photos for your brothers Ledford and Bedford ???

That was also one of the rules NO billet anything!
Unfortunatly I did not see the pinup contest, my buddy was getting ready to run the track while it went on. I saw them walking around most of the day though, but I never think to take pics of them, Im more interested in the cars.

Dont worry, I did check out the women, I like all curvy sexy things, cars, or women, I just meant I dont take pics of them, I never think to, I dont even take many pics of others at PCS events, I think in Ohio I only have 5 out of a few hundred that has people in it (except of course those that are just in the area of the car Im taking a pic of). In hindsight I should have got some pin ups with my car!
 
Mr.Vyse, after reading the above,remember come June they are invading your turf,they are truly harmless,just have plenty of kleenex on hand for the drool dogs..:3some:the 3 amigos and friends.:071:
