Update on my cancer situation

Jim Tighe - Deceased 1942 - 2012

March 10, 1964 - April 27 2012
The bile duct cancer diagnosed about a yr. ago seems to have entered its last phase. On 1-27, I came home after 9 days in the hosp with a bad bacterial infection that was knocked down with massive amounts of IV anti-biotics. I am on oral a-b's for another 10 days. The infection and its treatment have left me very weak and weary. I am enrolled now in Hospice. My 2 immediate goals are to get to my 70th birtday in March and to see Spring bloom again. I would also like to do some more Packardizing on my '89 Olds woody, which has already fooled one local resident, who thought it really was a Packard. More pieces of my "Packard Kit" are out in the garage with the car,but I will have to improve a lot before getting back to the project. I hope all of you are doing well, and can see your lives through without fighting this blanking malady. Take care. Jim

Yes, good luck Jim. Those are good goals to start with and working on the car another good one that will help you. Best wishes to you and spring is coming soon !

Dave

Jim my thoughts and prayers are with you also, every day! Thanks for the update, and please keep us posted as you're able.

Abe

I want to wish you a beautiful spring and to regain your strength to work on your project. I feel my best when I am with my car (much to my wife's annoyance), but that 's how it works for me. Prayers to you!

Hang In There Jim

Spring may come early, I am getting the itch to take your car out for a spin. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Good to hear from you Jim. I see you sent me an e-mail, but every time I try to open any of my e-mails the damn computer "locks up". That's not irritating or nothing!!!

Barb and I will keep you and Sharon in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing you strength my friend, much strength. As much as I would love for spring to bloom tomorrow, for your sake I hope it's a good long time away (if that makes any sense).

So sorry to here about that....My cancer treatment is continuing as I go for my 4th chemo treatment on Friday as well as (2) 9 week CT Scans and labs on Thursday. I've been "lucky" so far as the chemo hasn't made me sick just very tired which a nap in the afternoon helps. I still don't have any stamina and even small walks do me in.

Jim, you are in our thoughts and prayers. I have long been a true believer in setting goals and the power of prayer. I am certain that you will accomplish your goals and hopefully even more. Try to find all of the pleasure and enjoy as many moments as you possibly can, through the days ahead.

glad to hear from you again. you have the right frame of mind. keep going as long as you can, you might beat me if we were racing.
