**UPDATE**
The annual Ohio PCS procar picnic is happening this Saturday - June 18. If you're planning on joining us at the event, this info is for you:

It seems like most of the procar picnic / night at the drive-in out of towners are busy or are planning to just come out for nationals in July, so it looks like it is going to be a smaller picnic this year. Out of the members that are coming, it seems like only a couple are able to go to the drive-in portion. Because of that, we are going to skip the drive-in movies part of the meet this time around. The picnic will still be happening though - Saturday at 4pm at 3060 Kent Road in Silver Lake, Ohio. If you haven't private messaged me with your side dish or dessert that you're bringing, please let me know. So far we have chips, key lime pie, corn bake, pasta salad and hummus.

See you Saturday!

Ugh, when can we have a meet in the southwest part of the state? ;) I'll PM you if Cody and I will be dragging ourselves up there.
If there's people willing to host, we'll be there. I mainly host / organize the meets in Northeast Ohio, Jim and Amy host one each year in Columbus, Carl hosts one each fall in Cinci and Bill hosts stuff sometimes at his place in Marietta. A couple of years ago, I hosted and organized a meet in Bowling Green and last summer I organized one in Bluffton and one in Mansfield. I'd like the chapter meets to be more all over the state, but we have to go where people are willing to organize stuff. It's hard for me to logistically plan stuff in areas that are hours away from me that I'm unfamiliar with. If you'd like to organize something in the SW part of the state, I'm sure members would show up. We definitely have members in that area of the state. :)

I have been the main organizer for the unicycle club here in Toronto for about 24 years, the local car club and a few other things as well.

It takes someone who is outgoing, loves the club and willing to do a lot of work before, during and usually after the event to make a meet happen.
If the few who do that for the club stop doing it, the club or meets don't happen.

It is always hard to find people to step up and make it happen.

Anyone who wants a meet should start making it happen and people will show up. As they say, "Build it and they will come !"

You usually don't get anything more than "satisfaction" but it is surely a worthwhile venture in more cases.

Also the "pride" of hosting a meet is a fantastic feeling. :thumb:

Sometimes you are surprised how far members will travel !

Yes, this event will be happening RAIN or SHINE! :) We'll picnic in the house if we need to and just go outside to grill. Let me know when you can.

We'd love to be there, but we are committed to "plumbing-part2", hopefully the final chapter at our son's house.

A picnic in a full blown tornado sounds like more fun than what we've got to look forward to.
