I know it is going on midnight but I just got the report that I could be picking up the 64 between the weekend and mid week depending on the exhaust shop. All that is left to do is fix the wind shield wipers and replace a valve cover gasket and the exhaust work.

.......and he has had it how long??? We thought that he was restoring the car back to new.... :rofl1::wwpics:

Wipers? It had been years since I used my wipers in the 70 but did try them recently. Never drive in rain so never use them, get alittle rain X and let them rest in peace!@ I once had a 82 GT mustang that I never drove in the rain either so just took wiper arms off completely, looked better without them. Yeah, I am alittle weird.

Good luck, Ron.

I have never been able to make the rain-x products work as advertised. Any tips/tricks on applying the stuff?
I had my wipers go out on one of my ambulances on the way home from a meet in Illinois in the pouring rain. I used Rain-X and was able to drive home without the wipers successfully. You have to use it exactly as it says on the label. But it does work.

I used it on a show truck I had that had no wipers, and it worked great.

Well the mechanicals are going to be done. When I get her home this week the makeover begins. From headlights to tail lights she will be polished inside and out. Ed has my beacon and I have his siren light for his Poncho, a trade will take place in Albany but I might get antsy and send it now with the money to ship it because you know I am a ambulance guy and the car has to have that beacon on top. Then I will have a lot of pictures.

Looking foreward to seeing pictures of the '64 Ron after you detail it. With so many of us getting "new" coaches lately you must be chompin' at the bit to get behind the wheel of yours!

I'll drop this becon in the mail monday it's still all boxed up. got to have a light you can put on. I can pick up the siren in New York.

Definitely Itchin!

I have been chomping at the bit to get this car since I saw it, then I drove it and then now seeing all these guys getting all of these cars I am thinking I have had a new car for two months that has never ever been in my garage! This is definitely a first for me. But seeing you guys playing with your new cars makes me envious.
