The look I'm going for....

I ran across this ambulance on Tony's site and thought, now that is the look I'm going for on my Criterion. Twin 184's split on the corners, Big "Q2B" mounted in the middle surrounded by two CP 100's. I thought my Lifeliner was busy with stuff on the roof but doesn't come close to this rig.

Looks great!

typical hot rodders trick if you can't afford to put money in the car buy lots of chrome. you missed the third 184 running white lights. which would be a more effective warning device then all the rest including the 4 tunnel lights.
now if they had the strobes on the side running sequential that would be "cute". buy the time you throw ed all those switches and got all those noise makers fired up you would forget were or what it was you were going to do. then when you got there to shut it back down would take 5 minutes. and as you walked away and looked back you would still have missed something. you need to spend a little more time with Bill let him talk to you about that stuff in the back and how not to take it out of there and put it on the outside. clean effecent and easy makes life a lot more simple. one low tree and there goes a couple grand.

You're right about the "Ga-Father". He has an image of what my rigs should look like and "CLUTTER" is not it. He has been very helpful in getting me to clean them up. I did miss the third 184 on the roof and what about that bump on the roof by the rear door? I take it that is an air vent. Looks like square spotlights on the side for ditch lights.

Hey Ed, I take it when you conduct "Trimming Skirts 101" in Albany mine will end up like the ones on this rig.

Enough? Hell no!!

There is still room for a pair of 888s on the flat hood section right at the front and a pair of PAR 46 grill flashers.
You can never have enough light or enough siren.
John Dorgan

Yeah, but they didn't buy their lights from John D., it looks like they bought them at the truck stop. I mean, it's cool if you like cheap truck stop lights....

The 888s over the cab are full size; the tunnel lights on the front of the hightop are Par 46 sealed beams.

Russ,

Is that one of the Mall City rigs? I think that is what is says along the side.

Sorry Richard, but I am going to steal this thread for a minute. Russ, I have some great pictures of the Mall City ambulances that were in Flint. Do you have any contact information so that I can e-mail or call them about using their ambulances in a future calendar? All I need to know is who currently owns them and the correct name of the the two ambulances that were in Flint.

Steve those were a Custom Job done By Dennis Distributors of Flint.
The Lights are either off. or at night they come on as a Transfer Light.
and if the call is a code 3 run they Sequentially flash.
Those Lights were not Available from M-M.
Also I have Seen C+B's with the Same Lights and Sold by Dennis dist)

I can't imagine the alternator and batteries lasting long!

What are you talking about Kevin, you shoud know better than anyone since the set-up I'm going for is just like what you had on your Criterion. I won't change colors but need those twin 184's and Q2B in the middle.
