The 1963 is HERE!!!!!

My 1963 is here! I had to work a swap for another Lieutenant, and I got the call it would be in around lunch. The garage is about 2 minutes from the firehouse, so I went to meet the truck. Let me start by saying WHAT A FANTASTIC JOB ED HAS DONE ON MY CAR!!! Ed, thank you for everything you have done for me. You made gave this car a much needed and deserved makeover. The project had the help of many PCS members, including Paul, Atti, Jim, Kurt, Steve, and the support of many members of this club. You are all a great bunch of people, and thanks for making a lifelong dream come true. That being said, I know the thread is useless without photos, but all I had was my camera phone. Paul, can you please post the pics I sent you. I am off all weekend and can't wait to spend some much needed time with my ambulance. I will have my camera, and will take better pics when I get some final items taken care of. Once again THANKS Ed, and everybody else who helped me along the way.

That's awesome!

Great news Brendan!!!!! Just in time for the car show season too. I'm sure it will generate interest where ever you take it. You know it's a one-of-a-kind now. Best of luck and safety!

Congratulations!

I applaud your patience Brendan I am sure that has been a long wait but this is the big payday. Ed did a beautiful job, I cannot wait to see this car in person.

What also is nice is that we were all able to follow this car due to Brendan's and Ed's updates along the way. What a great car, Congrats !! and Ed, another beautiful recreation !!

Brendan, you must be a very happy guy today! I am excited too, the ambulance looks absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations! Thanks to you and Ed for keeping all of us posted on the progress, it was very exciting to see.

now you need to drive it some. I noticed it was having some hot start issues. the carb was flooding when you shut if off after it warmed up. so a can of Sea Foam in the tank and drive it are in order. you get the light back up on top and it ready to run around in. miss it all ready I did like walking out to the shop and see it in there. it's just not the same with out it

Yes, DRIVE it! I actually kind of like it without the beacon.

Scott the beacon will be going back on. It doesn't feel right without it. We are one state away so feel free to come down and drive it for yourself!

What a beautiful car! I hope we'll all get to see this beauty featured in an upcoming issue of The Professional Car!

Paul, and Jim Staruk came down today and helped me with some final details. It was good to see them, and thanks to both of you guys for heading down to the Ocean State! We had some fun and laughs as usual. Today Jen and Hope came by, despite her ear infection! Hope had a blast and has claimed the car hers. Photos to follow as soon as Jen gets them uploaded for me. I tried but something went wrong.
