Texas hearses sighted

It's a fairly recent phenomenon for me - but I'm looking around for professional cars when traveling and looking around. I found two Superior end-loader hearses sitting at a very large (5000+ car) junkyard near San Antonio in Seguin called John's Salvage Co. Phone number is 830-379-2092. Visited both cars and took photos, chatted a bit with the staff who are willing to sell. No interest myself as they are straight hearses.

First car is a 1972 Superior-Cadillac endloader hearse. It supposedly runs/drives - apparently they've used it most recently for a local halloween event. Seems pretty solid in the frame and body, definite surface rust but I didn't dig too far into the weeds/grass. Interior is pretty nice. Seller wants to sell whole for $2500 or best offer - doesn't want to part it out - and I did want that cot bar...

Second is a ? year Superior-Pontiac - endloader as well. Brittany blue according to the Superior data plate. Missing landau bars, and some front end damage. Interior's not too bad. This one is in a section for parts removal - but they're willing to sell for $1250 or best offer whole.

I have a few more photos if anyone's interested.

the 72 looks will worth the asking price. had that bar been mounted in the car? a lot of times that would happen as they went to first call statis

Yes - the Ferno slide-in mounts were present too on the driver's side panel. Need them and a bar for the 1963 Norfolk FD GMC ambulance.

they show up at the strangest times. but try the one on the roof. I wonder if it was put there as a place to store it out of the way. if they used it mainly as a rescue truck they may have not kept the gurney in it. but had it as a stand by. are the mounts still in the the GMC or nothing but holes?
