Tektronix & Accusat Medical monitors

I was recently asked to help clean out my boss’s garage. Back in the 70’s he was an EMT and has affection for mobile medical equipment. Two things that have to go are a Tektronix 414 dual pressure clinical ECG monitor with 400 chart recorder and an Accusat Datascope Pulse Oximeter. Neither have any cables. The Tec 414 monitor works but the recorder seems to be bound up. The Accusat power button is broken. The Tec battery fades out slowly when line power is removed. Both of these units are portable but I don’t know if they were used in ambulances; at least, not in 1953. I wasn’t able to find anything technically or historically about the Tec monitor, not even from Tektronix. If these were used and will improve anyone’s project, they available for shipping cost. If you are close to Montclair Ca 91763, I’ll even throw in delivery. If there is interest, I can provide pictures, weight and dimensions later this week. My 53 Henny Jr project will start as soon as I find homes for the 62 Mercedes 220S, 72 Jag XJ6, 63 Jag 3.8S and the other 55 Packard. (They are going for slightly above shipping cost) I couldn’t talk my boss out of the Federal siren / light combination from a 64 Pontiac. I think it might be too new for the Henny anyway.

I shall await your response, Tom

Tektronix

I cant speak for anyone else, but when I was working from the early 70's to the early 80's we were using the Physio Control LifePak 2 Defibrillator that came out in 1972 and then of course the LifePak 3 in 1973.Physio Control seemed to "update" the units every other year it seemed..I think they were pretty much what was available at the time and they weighed a TON:eek:......
I believe Tektronix came out in late 70's or maybe even early 80's with a somewhat lighter unit (not by much however)....
