Jack Pinner - Deceased - 1942 - 2016
October 4, 1942 - April 19, 2016
Watching all the news coverage in New Jersey and New York reminded me of the great people I meet there. Being from the south there was a myth that all yankees were unfriendly. I was delighted to find right the opposite.
I see places that I went to in the 1960's and early 1970's destroyed by the superstorm.
We had nothing like the Rescue Squads and Fire Departments I saw there. Most of the people responded to emergencys out of the goodness of there heart.
It has been over 40 years since the fire that destroyed Pinner Coach Company. Still today I have great memories of the people of New England. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
My son in law is a electric transmission supervisor. He was called out Saturday morning, along with his crew, and sent to Allentown PA to be ready to respond this morning. He was told he may not even be able to come home for Christmas. We pray for his safety along with all the first responders that will assist the people hurt by the storm.
As a personal note, most of you know I was injured just before Thanksgiving last year. All procedures so far to stop the pain in my back and leg have not worked. Tomorrow I am scheduled to start the process of a nerve stimulator and see if that will help.
Again, my prayers are with the people that were effected by Sandy.
