Suggestions need for new garage floor

I’m building a 3-car garage for my present collection of professional cars. The floor is going to be poured concrete over pipes for radiant heat. Anyone have any suggestions how to finish the floor? I heard certain concrete sealers can cause deadly slippery floors once wet.

I like the space between the doors one will not have to worry about hitting the car next to it with the door. but as for the floor I have seen everything from tile to carpet. but me I prefer a broom finish on the cement. if you paint it it wears out were you drive. the tile will lift if things get spilled or break if things get dropped. carpet will get torn up fast and is really hard to roll on with a creeper. now a wood floor is pretty but still will scar up. but if what you want is some color on the floor have them put the dye in the cement. these old cars leak so unless you put down drip pans then you got a mess with any kind of flooring. why waste money in putting a floor in the garage put the money in the cars. or in the walls, ceiling and lighting if I was going to put anything in the floor it would be a trough drain in the center the whole length of the garage. I'm so tired of standing in water. they told me I could not do it when i put the floor in mine. I wanted it to drain to the ally in back of the house. they told me I can't do it might dump some antifreeze out there. so now I'm dumping the antifreeze on the floor and sweeping it into the gutter on the street. go figure.

I have only built one garage in my time, but I have to agree with Ed that a broom finished floor would be my choice. That is how the floor in my garage was finished. It can still be sealed, but it leaves enough texture on the floor as to not be slippery when wet.

As for the floor drain, I was in the same place with the alley out back. I wasn't allowed to put a drain in anywhere unless I actually connected it with the sewer drain in the house, so I had then put a slight slope toward each door. That way any water will not be standing, but will drain toward the doors and eventually outside.

As was already mentioned, nice looking garage. Congratulations!

Show off. I'm just green with envy. Looks great!

You could always....

I had our garage floor stained, cut into a pattern, then sealed. I think it turned out pretty good. And yes, it really is concrete!

Epoxy

I work in Aviation and all our five hangars nationwide are Epoxy coated, Hot tires spilled fluids, jet fuel, nothing bothers them and not at all slippery when wet. Do an internet search for Hangar floor finish systems and you will see the variety available.

Now this is a garage....WOW! All I have at this point is this Sam's Club garage and have no idea where I'm going to put the Criterion. I know, hole in the back of the house, wife moves out and Criterion drives in. Better think about that one.

better not think about that one she may take the the new car with her. or you may be living in both of them on the street. the criterion could be the living room the lifliner the bed room. tarp and planks over the back doors to go from one to the other. park close to a McDonalds so you can eat on you new income.
