Spaghetti

When I look at the engine compartment I can only marvel how you mechanically inclined people can figure it out and make it work,my hat is off to you folks, glad we know you:applause:

the way I figures this one out was to crack open my wallet and drop it off at the shop I use to work at. I don't get into the heavy engine repairs. ;) now if I were to tear off the front end assembly that I would do.

got the limo out of the hospital today she looks good. some blue in places but he did me a nice job. had to dust off the air cleaner put one plug wire back in the Loom and there there is this thing. it's a connector lock. the only plug that I can find that used it is for the air shocks. bet he is short one from his tool box.

the only problem was the intake leaking. he told me that all the bolts for it were lose. strange thing on this one as it never been gotten into before now. cost me $480.00 to get it out.

phase two of the limo this year is to replace the vinyl top. reluctant to do it but it has a number of small issues and penetrating hail, so it's time. my part of the job is to remove the old top and repair any damage under it. the good news is it's not bad. they sprayed a gel coat under it but something came apart in there when I had the transmission rebuilt a few years back. so now is the time to look and fix
I had two or three sharp edges that I could push down. the were coming up almost threw the top. lucky it was just the rail for the pad to stop against. then we have just a little rust there. man you would think someone would wash their windows

That's why I don't buy vinyl top cars anymore. You never know what was under there.

not till you take it off. the ugly brown is the old glue laying on the jell coat. the is only the small patch of surface rust were the jell goat was cracked and the plastic rail was Broke up. I know just when this happened. it was picked up wrong when they did the transmission and the top flexed here. that was coming back from the Ohio meet that happened. so rust is not bad. the hail would have undoubtedly caused more damage with out the padded top. so either way we would have that to fix. but no-matter how hard you try the top just wont last. this is the original top. who know how much hail it has bounced off and it's just got to the point were it wont stretch any more.

the big question is were can a get a metallic gold top? or the material to have one sewn up. we can't find one. this is all e rust damage and right now it just surface and got to in time
