so how did it run

been working over the fire wall stuff on the 58. want to get everything cleaned up and working before we get it jammed. discovered that the hot wire to the coil is not in the best of shape it was only hooked to things with about 3 strands the rest just arcked as they need to. all the connections were corroded or rusted, including the run resistor i'm not sure it was even carrying current. we may have been running on 12 volts all this time. this may vary will explain the random stumble we have been experiencing.

then I discovered that it had gotten plumed with 3/8 hose for the vacuum instead of 1/4, will that would explain the it acts like there is a vacuum leak somewhere syndrome.

I still say the hardest part of these cars is putting back what someone else has done over the years. but as you get each thing done it sure works better.

every one of us can. it just a matter of one thing at a time. and when you working on a task complete it before you tear something else apart. man gets to much apart he gets in a hurry putting it all back together.so say the man whose project looks like this. guess I'm talking about sub assemblies here

the old saying of if it ain't broke don't fix it and it ain't broke till it's in two was how most of the cars have been maintained for years.
