"Sirens", new TV show on USA

I watched the new show "Sirens" on USA tonight, interesting. It's about a fictional ambulance service in Chicago. It's a dark comedy, and produced by Dennis Leary in the same vein (get it?) as his old show, "Rescue Me".

I was intrigued that their "station" has a photo on the wall of a Superior Cadillac ambulance. The shots weren't close enough to see what ambulance it was a photo of or what year. Also, they have a display case in their "station" that features a Federal WL siren and a 184 beacon, and I think a Nylint toy box ambulance (like the one pictured below). Maybe we will see these more in future episodes.

Interesting "set dressing".

Sirens

I watched the show, and you can really tell its a Denis Leary production....

I think it might be intresting to follow at least for us ambulance jockeys in the crowd and to see what other "goodies" we can spot in the background.:D

Mr Leary's portrayal of a firefighter probably had several professional firefighters going "oh boy" will be interesting to see if his work in Sirens is similar,we don't,I mean I don't get USA tonight so trust you will keep us posted..thanks.

Funny, Dennis Leary's portrayal of firefighters had a lot of professional firefighters looking in the mirror, or saying, "Hey, I know a guy like that." He spent time in firehouses, and his cousin was a firefighter from Worcester, MA who was one of 6 firefighters killed in the line of duty in 1999.

My Canadian accent came out in my post.I wholeheartedly agree,on the looking in the mirror part, and hope no one took offence, my oh boy was not in an excited state but more in a yeah I know someone like that. For all of us in emergency services know it ain't all glamor and glory...

He has done a lot for the Worcester firefighters. He's often here doing charity work.

Oh boy dating myself here, years ago when the oxygen tanks were mounted on stands on the rear floor by the head of the stretcher we had the "attitude adjuster",thus a combative patient who may have been overwhelming the attendant the tank could somehow move enough to crack someone in the head and adjust their attitude,I never did this though:halo:another piece of equipment the sager splint was nicknamed by our female medics as the "ball buster"
