My NEW vehicle.....

She just arrived from New England and I wanted to say a few "Thank you's"...

I wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to Jim Staruk for selling me the beauty and for putting up with all my questions and concerns over the last few weeks.....!!!!:thankyou2:

I am super excited and proud to be able to own this 1972 Superior.....
After only being a member her on PCS since January,I was able to find and purchase this fine vehicle....after a 2 year search......
It is the EXACT vehicle other then color, that I started my career with Foothill Ambulance unit 104........back in 1973.....

I also met my wife in the back of this vehicle a year later...and 38 years later...we both are happy to have an ambulance back in our life...she was a nursing student back then and later became the companys first RN on staff....

I also wanted to Thank ALL the GREAT people here on PCS,that responded and answered all my questions before I even ownd the vehicle !!

She arrived a couple of nights ago... at 10pm... here in California......
and the driver of the transport was both happy to unload her and sad to not get anymore attention coming across the southern states.....he said he had no less the 20 inquires as to owner,is it for sale etc...af course all the thumbs up he got along the way..and even a Cadillac dealership he stopped at in Texas, was interested in buying the ambulance......
He said he has never seen so much attention given to a car !

Thank you Brendan !!
I know that this was one of your favorites......and as I told Jim,you will be the first to know if it comes up for sale.....
Also congratulations on your Awesome ambulance !! I know you are as thrilled with it as I am with mine......Enjoy !!

It came from Worcester MA.. only about 50 miles West of where you live.

Good to know that it made it to California without any damage. Moving cars as large as these ambulances is always a daunting task. When I sent mine out to Ed for paint, it was a very tight squeeze to get it into the trailer. I don't think that there was 2" on either side once it was loaded. Good thing that there was a side door on the trailer, otherwise, I would be living with Ed till the car was done.

Paul....well I wouldnt say it made it without incident.....and yes there was just about 2 inches on either side......the broker I went tru said there was tons of interest until they looked at the picture and dimensions.....a lot of "younger" truckers....who didnt even realize that there was such a thing as "Cadillac ambulances",,,lol...
I finally had to add additional money...so someone would get it in a decent amount of time.......plus Jim was saying "hurry up and get this thing out of here before I change my mind"...LOL.....
