so get me some replacement strikers for the 68. we discovered that MM used the ones off from the GM A body. and found a site that deals only in chevilles that was a good price. there are reproductions the same as GM. will almost. found they are not handy to adjust. the after market boys threaded the bolt all the way to the stop. Gm left the last 1/8 in of the shank free so the washer could rotate when you tightened it. this onr when you go to take them off are jammed. makes it a chore to do a simple adjustment. the doorman line is done the same way

but the good news is I got the switch out of the 68 and it was loose . we were able to tighten the contacts to the housing.

Ed,
I need a couple of those for the 70...may I ask what Chevelle site ??
I am assuming they are the same for Superior as MM...??
Thanks
Jim

I got them from this guy here 800-762-0317. 12 bucks each a quick way to add 60 bucks to the price of your car. knowing what I do now I would clamp them in a vise and use the edge of a file run around the last sets of threads just before the stop. if you have to use any spacers under them it would make loosing them up to adjust a lot easer. you would have to dab a little silver paint were you cut the platting to keep the rust streaks at bay
