Salvage yard finds.

Today we had the opportunity to view two 1963 Superiors, one 62-64 Superior, one 1960 Buick ?, a 1961 Eureka, and a 1966 Miller Meteor. Here are a few photos from the trip:

The headlights are horizontal on the buick, plus I crawled through the divider window and dug an old insurance slip out of the glove box that said it was a 60 also. We're not sure of the builder though, as we couldn't find any emblems or body company tags on the car.

On the superiors we were able to locate and photograph all of the body tags. Couldn't locate the one on the eureka, but it did still have it's emblems on the quarter panels so we know that it was a eureka from that.

It was really cool to find the Q siren still mounted under the hood of one of the superiors. The guy running the yard said that the 66 MM was driven into it's spot and it does look like that's a good possibility. Out of all of the cars the 66 is in the best condition with some floor rot, otherwise complete and pretty solid.

We plan to go back in the spring. The snow you see in the photos mostly fell the night before and is probably the most they have seen so far this winter.

WOW! Bet that hightop gold Superor was a beauty back in her day! Kinda fond of gold coaches ya know! Bet that M-M could be resurected very easy too!

we could definitely have used some stuff of the 63 a bit a go, not now though. it looks to me about like this one before I started on it. it might be worth salvaging.

No parting

We inquired about parts and were told that they do not want to part cars out. They only want to sell whole cars. When asked about prices for whole cars the response was $2500.00 each.
