Round flasher unit for '56 Superior

Pat MacPhail (who is unable to post right now) is looking for a flasher unit for his '56 Superior/Cadillac ambulance. The kind he is looking for is the round type typically attached to the cowl on the left side of the engine compartment.

Any leads or suggestions for replacement appreciated.
 
What you are looking for by your description is a Julian A. McDermott Corporation unit. They were / are manufactured in Flushing New York. They are totally repairable. The website is www.mcdermottlight.com
and the unit is located on page 7 in a PDF format. You will need to call to determine if it is a model TG-12-90 (single set of alternating flashing contacts) or a TG-12-90-CD (dual set of alternating flashing contacts).
